Fuzzies in Bengals Explained:

We believe that pictures speak louder than words in the explanation of fuzzies and the bengals development.  So we have put information here from our own kittens and experience.  See for yourself just how this one kitten matured and went through the "fuzzies".

Pictures before the fuzzies - 1 weeks.

 This is an example of a brown spotted bengal.  The markings are large black spots with no lighter brown centers.  This cat has a golden background color.  Background colors in the brown spotted go from a very light wheaten color to a darker reddish brown.

Markings go from dark black to a brown.  This is "Quacky"

Pictures before the fuzzies - 4 weeks.

Brown Rosetted

A rosette is any marking where there is a darker outline color with a center of a lighter coordinating color.  This cat has black outlines with a brown center to each marking. 

This little boy is now 3 weeks old and still no fuzzies are appearing. So he looks beautiful and very contrasted.. 

Pictures before the fuzzies - 5 weeks.

Quacky now shows some fuzzies which hide his pattern and make him look rather ordinary.

Pictures during the fuzzies - 7 weeks.

Now fully in the fuzzies, his pattern  looks muddy.  Especially the bottom picture. 

Silver Rosetted

Pictures during the worst of the fuzzies - 8 weeks.

This is quacky at 8 weeks looking very muddy and ticked and not very attractive. 

Pictures just beginning to come out of the fuzzies - 13 weeks.

Here is Quacky just beginning to clear onhis coat.  Still looking very ticked and not particularly pretty. 

Pictures just beginning to come out of the fuzzies - 14 weeks.

Still trying to clear up but not really there yet.
