ABOUT US and AB1634

We have shown dogs for over 20 years as NiteWind English Springer Spaniels.

We now have wonderful Bengal Cats as companions in our family.  Our animals live with us and are part of our daily lives.   Our Goal was to provide that same experience to others and do so in a loving and caring manner.

 ABOUT AB1634:

AB1634 is an Assembly Bill already passed in the Assembly in California and headed to the California Senate.  We pride ourselves on being very level headed and not reactionary.  So we just knew the legislators would see the light and defeat this bill.  Especially with all the Opposition from: The California Police Officers Association, All working dog associations, many Humane Societies and local Animal Control Agencies.   However, we were wrong!

The many performance dog, show dog and show cat events held in the state of California will no longer be held.  This is because there is no sufficient protection that a dog or cat as a "guest" in this state is exempt from the law.  So the millions in annual revenue spent in various communities hosting these events will no longer be there.

Law Enforcement Speaks Out against AB1634!

The 25,000-member National Coalition of Public Safety Officers (NCPSO) today joined other law enforcement groups in opposing AB 1634. Law enforcement opposition also includes the California Organization of Police and Sheriffs, California Rescue Dog Association (the largest of the K9 search-and-rescue organizations), the United States Police Canine Association, Western States Police Canine Association, Manteca Police Officers Association, Manteca Police Employees Association, Canine Specialized Search Team, and John Riboni, Director of K9 Training for Placer County Sheriffs Department, Roseville Police Department, Lincoln Police Department, and Rocklin Police Department.

PETA's roll in AB1634:

Better Watch out for your PETA member neighbor after they read this!

As a Quality, Caring Breeder, I personally resent being lumped into the same category with Pet Shops and "Puppy and Kitten Mills".

Only puppy and kitten "MILLS" are exempt from the new law:

Click Above for more details of the "Worthy" exemption for these "Industrial" Breeders.

Soon the puppy and kitten MILLS of the Midwest will be the ONLY place you can buy a puppy or kitten.
